Baggage Claim!

February 5, 2009

Leafy posted what’s in her bags today, and I tagged myself to do the same!

Bags

I use Baggins to organize my inventory and I would be very very sad without it.  When I first got it, I only used the preset categories, but after I figured out that you could create your own categories, I went nuts!  I have categories for every single tiny thing (as can be demonstrated by my separate categories for buff food/potions, fishing items, a special “trash” category and even a booze category*) and this makes me very happy.  As I get more things in my bags, the numbers of categories expand.  You should just see my bank!

Even though you cannot see it, I am using only Netherweave bags.  Lots of Savory Snowplums, lots of Honeymint Tea, 100 Devout Candles.  I do admit that I’m running (really) low on mana potions.  There are even two coins cluttering up my bags since I cannot manage to get my last two gold coins I need for the achievement.  /grumble

Sorry I don’t have a dead body in there or anything, to make it interesting.

*Please note that Anea isn’t a drinker, that she only has that in her because she got the recipe and accidentally made 100 Kungaloosh instead of the 20 she had meant to.

You should be able to toss those gold coins back in the fountain – they’re good for a brief fishing buff if memory serves (something that makes you more “lucky” I believe).Grim’s bags are pretty empty (though I will screenshot and post to prove that) … Mal’s on the other hand are more full – mana pots and kitty food, plus fishing supplies…yeah.

Yeah, they give me a “lucky” buff – and that helps when I fish. (Well, that’s what it says – I haven’t noticed a change) and I keep them ’cause at least I could have a hypothetical buff whenever I decide to drop a line in Dalaran. :)

Huh…I mislinked so it didn’t track back. But I did this for both boys.

I prefer bagnon to baggins. I don’t really want all my stuff broken down for me, I just want to see it all at once. Of course, I usually organize my bags on the fly so I usually know where the new items I picked up are located. I also use garbage_fu to sell all my “junk” to the vendors with a mouse click. Really saves me from having to hunt through my bags for vendor trash.

Yes, I have garbage_fu too – that’s another addon that I don’t know how I got along before without it. Even though it’s just dealing with the mundane task of selling grays, when that’s gone and you have to sell each by hand like they did back in the Stone Age, you really do appreciate it. :)

Any chance on getting a UI list? Your screen is pretty much perfect lol. I would love a look over what mods you use.

@ Kyomasa – sure thing! I can compile a list of what I use and make a more thorough post of the UI. Thanks for mentioning it!

Just what I was looking for! I’ve searched your posts and comments here for information about your UI. It looks great! Would be great if you made a post about it. Thanks.
